Ian Mackinnon is an associate in our Los Angeles office and litigates cases throughout Southern California. Mr. Mackinnon is experienced in a wide range of general liability matters, and his practice includes defense of premises liability, construction, environmental and toxic tort, minor abuse, and wrongful death cases.
Mr. Mackinnon received his Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA in 1996, graduating magna cum laude. In 2002, he graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he spent two years on the National Moot Court Team.
After graduating law school, he went to work for Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith in Los Angeles, where he defended a variety of environmental and premises liability cases. Mr. Mackinnon joined McMahon Treacy in January 2005, and has successfully resolved many cases by way of Demurrer and Motion for Summary Judgment, as well as through mediation and arbitration.
Before attending law school, Mr. Mackinnon worked for Mercury Insurance Group. He is a member of the California, Los Angeles County, and American Bar Associations. Raised in New York, he has lived in Los Angeles since 1992
